MetaTrader 4 supports chart analysis, order management and desktop Expert Advisors using MQL4. If your trading workflow depends on a particular indicator or script, confirm that it is an MT4 version. An MT5 account is not interchangeable with an MT4 account.
Before choosing an MT4 broker, check the instrument specification, account currency and server details. The same software can connect to accounts with different trading conditions.

Considering a new platform setup?
Explore MT5 on the terms of the account you will actually use.
MetaTrader 5 supports multi-asset trading, analytical tools and desktop automation using MQL5. Its broader software capabilities do not mean every broker offers every market. Confirm the instruments and order types on your chosen account.
Moving from MT4? Check your indicators and automation individually. Test the layout, sizing and order process on demo before moving a workflow to a live account.

Exness Terminal
Exness Terminal is a browser platform for Exness MT5 accounts. It includes charting and order controls without a desktop installation. It is distinct from the MetaTrader WebTerminal.
If you already hold an MT4 account, confirm the compatible web option in your Personal Area. Do not assume that every page labelled “WebTrader” connects to the same account.

Is MT5 automatically better than MT4?
No. Choose based on account compatibility, instruments and the tools you use. A newer platform does not by itself improve trading results.
Where can I download MT4 or MT5?
Use official platform links from your broker or MetaQuotes. This page does not host installers. If you already have an account, use the official support link below for the correct server and setup.
Can I use my existing broker login at Exness?
No. A trading account belongs to its provider and server. An account at another broker is not an Exness account. Contact the existing broker for access or payment issues.
Will a demo behave exactly like a live account?
No. Demo helps you learn controls with virtual funds. Live liquidity, execution, slippage and the experience of financial risk may differ.
